Using Trota

By using Trota you agree to be at least 17, provide accurate profile information, treat other people with respect, and use the platform in good faith. You may not scrape, reverse engineer, or use Trota to harass, spam, defraud, or impersonate others.

Community guidelines

• Meet in public places for first meetups with new people
• Do not harass, spam, or misuse the platform
• Do not use Trota for fraud or impersonation
• Organizers must describe events honestly, including price, date, and location

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these guidelines.

Trota is free for people

People do not pay Trota to use the app. There are no user subscriptions and no Apple or Google in-app purchases. Clubs, festivals, and other organizers that post paid events on Trota pay a platform sales fee on tickets sold through Trota. Ticket prices are set by the organizer. Ticket payments are processed by Stripe for real-world events and admissions — not as digital goods inside the App Store.

Events and tickets

When you buy a ticket, you are buying admission from the organizer, not from Trota. Refunds, entry rules, and what happens if an event is cancelled are between you and the organizer, except where the law requires otherwise. Trota may cancel or hide events that violate these terms.

Meetups

Trota helps people find each other. Meetups, activities, and events are between the people who show up. Trota is not a party to those meetings and is not responsible for injuries, no-shows, or disputes that happen in person. Use your judgment, tell a friend where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe.
